pissed off at the guy who sold me this "01E swap kit". need help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
moved the engine and trans near its home and connect the slave line and reservoir to master line. I began following slave bleeding procedures and pumped the clutch by hand. a few moments later, I see a lovely trickle of brake fluid coming from somewhere near the master.

turns out the MCC the guy sent me has a hair sized crack in the plastic elbow joint the goes into the firewall and connects into the hydraulic to reservoir line.

anyone know if I can buy that small elbow/4"-ish line separate from the master itself? or do I need to buy an entire master clutch cylinder? pissed about this, another set back in the damn kit. I was pumped to start it tomorrow. not to mention I now have to figure out how to completely remove brake fluid from my once completely clean and virgin carpet. hope the fluid doesn't do any long term damage to footwell part of the firewall. here's a pic of the joint just for a visual:

There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

My guess would be during uninstall, the hose can be a mofo to get off.

definitely not during install. that elbow barely gets touched as it's the line to the reservoir that goes into the firewall. the elbow just clips into the pedal cluster bracket, pretty straight forward. add that to how meticulous I've been with this build, and I'm sure it wasn't me. thanks for your curiosity though. this "kit" he sent has been a nightmare from the minute I opened the box. many pieces missing/broken. sh**, I'm nervous that there'll be an issue with a major component like the diff/trans once I actually get it all together. good thing he doesn't seem to be a major seller of his swap kits.

Just get it cleaned up, pull the carpet.

Brake fluid will eat through the paint if left to sit.

You can't get the elbow separately,. but you can buy off the shelf 90 degree fittings.

no it was some guy named VWAUDI parts or some crap. he had a swap kit on eBay. I messaged him and he said he guaranteed an excellent driving trans/diff swap kit. his communication sucked, which is putting it nicely, along the way. disputing the exact amounts of parts I've had to replace. thankfully I've kept every bad part and receipt for what I've replaced. Chase is awesome about it so far. if it were a forum member, I'd warn people. I think this is a one off

I'm pulling the carpet anyway to completely remove the tip wires entirely anyway and have audi deep clean it. I'll get everything in the footwell cleaned up nicely once that's out

I ended up buying a new one. I figured with the luck I've had with these parts, it was best to replace these hydraulic pieces anyway. the slave he sent me failed, got a new one of those in too
