S6 steering wondering.

Hi all, I had the steering updated done when I bought it new and it greatly fixed the wondering. In the last few weeks steering is starting to feel loose again. Like it can't find a happy center. Almost like before the update. Anybody else having this problem.

My brand new 16 S6 is doing the same - my thought was it was the 20'' and summer tires. What rim/tire combo do you have?

Factory 20" wheels with Michelin Pilot sport AS 3. I hope it isn't the tires. I destroyed the P Zero's on a mountain road. lol I forget it's a sedan sometimes.

It was fine up untill a couple of months ago. It'll be going back for a few issues soon.

Mine tracks like a freight train - super stable.

Have you checked which "mode" your steering is in? Comfort/Auto/Dynamic?

I ask about the TSB because I actually picked up a new S6 a couple days ago. I've only driven it about 10 miles and noticed a real strong drift to the left after straightening out from an otherwise uneventful turn. No tracks in the road or anything obvious that would have caused it. I immediately thought of this thread

So glad to see others having this issue, Ive been telling my wife something in the steering really feels off, had the B8.5 and never felt anything like it. Going to call dealer Monday see if I have the latest update

I came from a 2007 A6 4.2L to the S6. At higher speeds the steering felt nothing like the A6. It kept wanting to turn in and out more than I wanted. I put it down to new tires and decided to give it a 1000km. At 1000km it was a little better, but still not right. I was going to book it in with the dealer to check the wheel alignment, but one thing lead to another and now I've done 6000km and it feels fine. Maybe the suspension settled or the pzero tires took way longer to bed in, I don't know. I do know I will switch to Michelin tires when the pzeros get too noisy or wear out...

I've had the steering updated. Stated that originaly. It's been great till lately, shortly after the new tires were installed. I've tried all 3 modes. The only difference is in dynamic it takes more effort to keep straight so it seems worse.

Steering is in comfort, everything else is in auto or dynamic.

My winter tires (Dunlop WinterSport 3Ds) don't track quite as straight as my summers (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S), but I wouldn't call what it does with the winters "wandering". The additional tread blocks, siping and very different tread patterns mean that winters feel different than summers or all-seasons.
