    Album Art in MMI

Hi all Happy Holidays. 10 days into owning my 2016 S4 and loving everything about the car.

I picked up 2 64GB SD cards and loaded al my music on there and they both appear in the MMI and music loads and plays fine.

I am observing an oddity with some songs where album art is being chopped off at about 1/3 or 1/2 of the image. I've never had this issue with any of my other devices (Computer, tablets other cars via Bluetooth)

I tried changing a few songs to use smaller image files as album art and those display just fine.

Wanted to see if any of you have observed this and short of going through and changing all the album art for 75GB worth of MP3s, is there anything I can do?

I switched from SD cards to a single 128 gb usb drive and plugged it in the glove box. It seems much faster than the SD cards. About $45 on Amazon. Not sure what the size limit is but my 90 gb fit and the MMI can read all the drive. Wonder if a 256 gb will work.

Just circling back with some more detail. I found through various searches that album art is limited in size on the MMI to 500x500 (some sources say 800x800) and no larger than 256kb for the art file. Art file has to be embedded into each MP3/AAC file into an ID3 V2.3.0 tag.

I used the Bliss software to search and clean up the Album Art files on all my music and now the ones that have Album Art in them display correctly on the MMI screen. 12,500+ songs at your fingertips is awesome. :)
