A6 2012 external AV input?

Hi,
i have a6 with MMI Navigation plus with touchpad, digital tv, rear view cam and B&O.
If i press media button then in the list i get: EXTERNAL AV INPUT.
Where is this inpu?t i can't find it.

My MMI manual is in german and i cant understand that.

You need this cable (the same worked for me). If you want a digital input like HDMI, you need a converter that's USB powered. If you want it to show while driving, you need to enable VIM (search for it and you'll see VCDS and other methods to do this).

This is for AMI ? I have usb cable there and it works. But why i have anothere media selection there: EXTERNAL AV input. You are trying to say that, if i use ami usb cable i choose ami, and if i have rca cable i choose external av input? There is no logic....

Mine is called external AV input on my AMI cable. However, you say you have digital TV. In the US we don't have that as an option, and maybe in Estonia there is an external AV input on the digital TV tuner. If there isn't, then the AV input is the AMI input I suggested.

The tv tuner have 2 AV inputs.
it is available via one multipin port, looking like a IDÉ port, if that makes sense.
I'll have a go at trying to find the part for you when my hangover goes away.

Very interesting. If the US can add this, I wonder if we could get digital input to the monitor. Would enjoy seeing a pic and part number.

If you register your car at "myaudi" I'm pretty sure you can access/download the car manuals in English, if that helps you.

The xcarlink is because the early Audi's couldn't handle audio/video, and the xcarlink provided a true AV input that would display on your screen.

That kind of plug i dont have free in dvbt. It seems that i have to buy cable and put cable PIN-s to right place to get the input.
