    P3 Gauge with Boost Sensor

Anyone running a boost tap instead of reading boost from ODB2 on their P3?

Is this the part (sensor) that is needed? I had it from my previous car and wonder if its the same for our version of the P3.

Yes, that is the part that you need.

You will also need to grab a signal from the supercharger. Eurocode has a handy dandy boost tap just for this

Yes. That's it! As mentioned above, make sure you get a boost tap for the elbow in the engine bay. I would recommend getting a couple O rings also and replacing them when you install the boost tap.

So from the boost tap I run a hose to the sensor that in turn is connected to the P3?

yup, there is a connector on the p3 harness that you plug that sensor into. you then need to go into the settings, change it for an analog sensor and do an initial calibration of the sensor.

Did you guys find any hole in firewall to run the boost line into the cabin?

I drilled a hole through the double sided grommet where the clutch peddle would be..

Run it through the ECU box, you can place a hard line right under the rubber grommet for the engine wiring harness.

Do this method, you don't need to drill a hole in firewall. Just replace the supplied line with one that can stand heat, and zip tie to prevent it from dangling.

Other than faster response, why not just use the OBD port?

No kidding... Guess I need to redo mine then. Especially with pulley and stage 2 tune. I was under the impression it was actual boost. Thanks for the info!
