Received this for Christmas does anyone know how to enable gauge sweep, window roll down with key fob, seatbelt warning chime removal, and green menu in mmi? I have emailed foxwell but have had no response and all the directions I find on here are for Vagcom. This is for an Audi b8 sline Quattro thanks in advance.

did you search , they are all coding and adaption values you have to change. the instructions should be the same. assuming the foxwell can change coding and adaption values.
if it cant do long coding you wont be able to change stuff.

Hello, I to got the foxwell scanner as a gift and having no luck figuring out the coding, it can do it but it seems no one knows how as its not as easy looking as the Ross-Tech setup. Just going to bounce this see if anyone has figured it out tho

I have looked over that site, the main problem seems to be the Ross-Tech comes with Long code helper, which gives you checkboxes or bits to select where the foxwell does not, it just shows the long code wish I could see how to edit the bits from the long code but I have had no luck with that.

I was trying to do the VIM last night, but foxwell doesn't show the serial number :( does anyone know a different way to find it? maybe in the hidden menu?

I also emailed ecs and their response was sending me the link to the same directions that come with the scanner which doesn't help at all because I need the actual long coding does anyone know them for these features?

So I haven't figure long coding out yet, but I have done a couple things with the device.

You need to go into system specific options, then navigate to the options I write,

Remove Warnings for Nav + Tel while Driving

    [5f - Information Elcectr.] Adaption - Set Channel '2' - New Value '250'
    [5f - Information Elcectr.] Adaption - Set Channel '3' - New Value '250'

    --------

Enable Hidden Menu - Do not play to much with options in there, you can break your MMI. To enter hold Car & setup together, some say during turn on but i find it easier after waiting a little to get the system booted.
    [5f - Information Elcectr.] Adaption - Set Channel '6' - New Value '1'

    ---------

Enable Battery Meter in Hidden Menu
[Hidden menu] [car] [cardevextdevicelist] [Battery] Enable
[Hidden menu] [car] [carmenuoperation] [Battery] Set to 5
    Reset MMI

    or via foxwell
    [56 - Radio] Adaption - Set Channel '39' - New Value '16'

    --------

    VIM - Video in Motion.
    Activate/Enable Hidden Menu
    [5f - Information Elcectr.] -> 10 Adaption -> Channel 6, Change Value to 1
Restart MMI, Once loaded hold CAR & Setup down together
    Hidden Menu Loads (Green Menu)
Navigate to Hidden Menu - Main/System
    Copy Serial Number
    Go to http://audienthusiasts.com/Articles_VIM.html
Use the Generater to create login code
    Code 1: XXXXX
    Code 2: XXXXX

    on Foxwell
    Navigate to 5F -
    Select 16 - Security Access
Enter Code 1 - Should say Login OK, if not try Code 2, if neither work your car cannot do VIM
    Navigate to 10 - Adaption
    Go to Chanel 048
    Change value to 255

    Restart MMI
Setup – Scroll Wheel and top right menu buttons at the same time. Press all three at the same time then release

Wanted to update, I quit trying to figure this device out. you can do adaptions fine, but long coding is a pain.... more so, there is no real support out there for the product that helps understand it. Going to return and buy Ross-Tech VCDS.

Thanks to your help I too was able to enable the green menu in mmi so I was able to activate the battery meter and now I can import music from cd to the hard drive of my car. Now I just have to figure out the other stuff
