    Engine rebuild with 2.8 heads

Hey guys I'm gonna be starting an engine rebuild within the next month. I'm getting a used engine, gonna strip it down. Definitely change to forged rods, possibly oversized pistons depending on my bore size to piston clearance (might just refesh hone the cylinders and reuse pistons if clearances are within spec) machine block mating surfaces. As I can get 2.8 heads for dirt cheap I will be using those (even though I'll only be running f21's, for the cost I can get them it's worth it to me. Gonna build valvetrain anyways) clean and resurface mating surface of heads, new valve guides, valve stem seals, super tech valves, and super tech spring kit. Use 2.7t exhaust cam and 2.8 intake cam. This is my "Basic" plan. Already planning on new tune anyways so I can tune for the new engine specs.

Now, I just want to know everything needed before I try to tackle this. Other than Sai block off plates, what else is needed to properly mate the 2.8 heads to 2.7t block? Will 2.7t valve stem seals and valve guides fit properly in 2.8 heads (I know the valves and spring kit fit from the research I've done) or is everything virtually the same (save for sai, port size, intake cam)

That stuff is all the same.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.
