Finally jumped ship, Giac/awe stage 2, dsg tune B8.5 S4

    Hi AZ,
So after spending countless hours on this forum, I finally got my S4 tuned with giac/awe stage 2 and dsg flash as well. Boy what a difference it makes. Car just flies and torque delivery is great, especially a big punch above 5k rpms where stock car was so-so and car starts moving really quick from low rpms as well. Dsg tune is a must if you have that option available, transmission is way smoother over all and shifts are even faster (Dsg fart still persists I know some of you really like that, including me). Shift points have been raised above 7000 so you really get to enjoy the power of 3.0T motor. It's like I'm driving a different car now and throttle has gotten even more snappier. Other of my mods are as follows:
    Roc euro intake
    Awe exhaust
Michelin pilot super sport on 20x10 wheels
    Dropped on kw has springs
I just installed the p3 gauge today and did some 0-60 tests, best run it said was 3.53 with traction fully off and no launch, slamming the throttle completely. I let you be the judge of how accurate this gauge is.
Overall I'm really impressed from the tune.
    Cheers

I will testing the times with GPS or a more accurate tool, I expect it won't be that much off if at all.

How can it be more accurate? P3 measures off the actual speed read off the ODB2

A gps to testify the time and a more accurate tool to reassure both methods used would be my guess...

In reality every 35k is fine, depends on how hard you're beating on your car, tracking etc.
Every 25-30k miles would make me feel better.

i very much doubt a car with 450hp/425 in such a heavy form with 20 inch wheels can be as quick as a GTR in ligther form with about 100hp/50orque more.

Happy with my 93 octane file as well.

Running a 37-38% ethanol mixture on the 100 Race program and you'll be addicted though

You can run the mix on the race file? Thought race required 104 octane. E38 gets you 97-98 octane only.

Does the race file adjust for that lower octane?

The wider tires maybe? Those PSS are no joke, hook very nicely.
Additionally I didnt gain any weight on wheels as the rim was about as much heavy if not less than stock peelers and PSS is lighter that stock contis.

Like raudi said..unless you track it, but...
Me, if I tracked the car a lot I would do it once a year plus upgrade your rotors\pads
If you plan on it tracking. My opinion..others may differ.

Awesome write up. Your car is moving for sure.
I Have the p3cars gauge with the ECS boost tap.
I did a quick pull today going down the spur headed home from getting a movie.
I brought the car up to 148mph before I let off. I then hit the recall on the boost gauge and it said 17.0
Thats the most I've seen on my car . Usually its in the high 15's but I usually let off by about 100 to 120mph.
