Worth it to Sell OEM Exhaust With Downpipes and Black Optics Grill?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just had the AWE Touring Exhaust installed, with resonated downpipes and 102mm black diamond tips, along with an RS4/honeycomb type grill. I now have the OEM exhaust with downpipes being temporarily held at the tuner, along with the OEM Black Optics grill that came off my '15 Prestige model. Trying to obtain feedback as to worthiness of selling these items, and if so, what should I list as an asking price? Parts have 7,000-some miles on them, in excellent condition with no damage.

I would keep it for later when you want to get rid of the car.

Two Syclones.....Man I wanted one of those but wanted the typhoon more. Awesome looking trucks with awd.

    ^^ agreed.

    1) if you got rid of something like OEM exhaust and grille it would be a bitch to source them later down the road.
    2) if you do get rid of them, i'd value the OEM exhaust at about $200-$300 and the B.O. grille at $250-$350

I would think that a potential buyer would want the better AWE touring exhaust and resonated downpipes. Sure, there will be people who want an S4 bone stock (I owned and sold two GT-R's, and most buyers wanted something non-modded), but since most S4 owners who mod just limit it to the Stage II upgrade, that would be an attractive option for a buyer. The grill, well, that's peronal preference and I'm keeping the OEM Black Optics.

As for the Syclones, yep, owned two of them, as the first one caught fire in the engine bay one night driving home from work. GEICO wrote it off as a total loss, paid me more than what I paid for it, then I turned around and bought another Syclone with less miles, better condition and upgrades than my original, FOR LESS. And when I sold that, it was for more than I paid for it. Anyway, for the 90's it was quite the performance vehicle. But it didn't sit well with Chevy that this small pickup truck was quicker from 0-60 and the 1/4 mile than the almighty Corvette, so the Syclone was only sold one year. The Typhoons weren't quite as quick, I believe due to the slightly extra weight, and they were sold for a couple of years.

Sent PM--but are you sure you don't want the entire stock exhaust, including the DP's?

I would keep all your Oem pieces. I sold my oem grill for $150 shipped. The exhaust is another story. Sold my s4 with the Milltek exhaust/down pipes and the Oem exhaust/down pipes are still sitting in my garage. Exhaust is a bitch to sell unless you live in a place like Cali with tons or s4 owners in close proximity who can simply pick it up. I'll probably end up scrapping the exhaust for like $3 at the scrap yard. Shipping it is about $200-250 because it has to be shipped through Fedex freight due to its size. I live in southern colorado and not many s4 owners in this area at all.
