Possible RS5 transmission issues?

I purchased my 2014 RS5 a few months ago at 31k miles. The mechanic who installed my Capristo noticed that the transmission looked extremely clean in comparison to everything else, so he suspected that it may have been replaced. Took it to my Audi dealer and they were able to pull up that the car's transmission was replaced at 25K miles. They weren't able to pull up why. Has anyone had any issues with their RS5 transmission, or know what may have caused this? Haven't been able to find any resources online.

I'd chalk it up to "shit happens". Enjoy the car with a transmission that is 6k miles newer than the rest of the stuff that could go wrong

Whilst I haven't heard of much in relation to issues with the RS5 transmission, I would take the same view as above.

Yea I wouldn't care much. But an audi dealership not knowing why they changed the transmission, yes that's bs. If onto your contact AoA with vin# I bet you will find out easily if you really want to know.

Check the launch control counter, if it's reading 200 then there's your answer

I really wouldn't worry about it, be happy it's had a new box in the past and whatever the problem was is one less bill you have to pay.

Thanks for all the input guys. I contacted the dealer that the service was performed at and they gave me the reason behind the replacement. The previous owner was complaining about a weird sound when the car downshifted. The dealer sent an audio clip to Audi of America and they just told them to replace the whole transmission.

Definitely took that as good news.

Haha "when I downshift from 6th to 2nd the car just doesn't sound right!" Ok, new transmission time.
