I replaced the fan control module and that set me back 450 bones as it is. Please, if you guys have any idea, comment up. I have checked fuses aswell but if you guys no if there is a fan relay let me know. Thank yoi
There is a relay (J317) in the circuit. But if it were bad (by bad I mean relay is not energized and allowing power to go to fuse SB11), power would not be applied to fuse SB11 which is located under the hood. From the looks of it, that power wire eventually goes to the coolant fan control module (terminal 2, it is a red/green wire). So maybe check that fuse SB11 under the hood and see if it is receiving power when it should (problem is I don't know when exactly it is supposed to receive power from the relay, when AC is on perhaps?). There is another wire supplying power at terminal 1 of the fan control module, it is the thicker red wire if the diagram is accurate.
Not sure if you can do this with VCDS but its worth a shot, see if you can enter into special functions and perform an output test and see if it activates the relays and all that good stuff. Probably a better way to check out the wires compared to when to engine is running and things are hot and moving around.
