As some of you already know, I have been going through some issues with Audi and my car, now waiting for them to put a new motor in it.

I was T boned in my loaner car Sunday, does anyone know how this works out? The accident was not my fault, does it go through my insurance or Audi's?

I believe it would be the Audi dealership's insurance.

This is what my insurance lady is telling me. But the dealership is saying it might go though mine. They never provided me with any paperwork when I got my loaner, and I am on my 5th loaner car.

neither, I would file a claim with the insured motorist that hit you and let them know it was a loaner car. I would avoid involving your insurance unless the other company refuses liability. It is no different than a rental, the dealerships insurance will NOT cover it.

    The hits keep coming...

I hope you're alright, which I assume is the case.

But +1 for filing a claim with the other motorist. Only involve your insurance as a last case.

I was told by Audi to contact my insurance to get a claim number.

contact the motorist insurance that hit you and open a claim. If it goes through your insurance, you will pay increased rates.

Audi only cares about being paid....

If its not your fault, you do not need to get your personal insurance involved at all. You need the insurance of the at fault party to get ahold of audis insurance. People always make the mistake of getting their own insurance involved when it is not their fault, yes they will help you, but will also hold it against you on your policy. I never have used my own insurance when its wasnt my fault.

Just give Audi the name and number of the person that hit you and/or their insurance and bid them a good day.

When I had a loaner, my loaner agreement said I had two options for insurance; Use the dealership insurance which has a $2500 deductible or use my own insurance.

By law you should always tell your insurance about a crash you have in your car, regardless of fault (in the uk anyway) but you were not in your car. If the dealer did not ask you to change your policy over when you took the loaner, you personal policy won't cover you, unless you have a policy that covers you in any car.

I've been in two accidents in the last couple months, both of which the other driver was 100% at fault for. I called my agent after the first one (I have State Farm), they said there is no reason to call us unless the driver disputes fault - didn't even bother the second time. Long as you get a police officer to issue a ticket and get an admission of guilt from the other driver you're good to go. Glad you got it sorted, you've had some pretty crazy bad luck.

This. Always contact your insurance company. The easy way is to go through your insurance, they will take care of all expenses then go after the other drivers insurance. That State farm agent was lazy. Yes its more work for them but he just didn't want to be bothered.
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

    I hope you're okay!
It sounds like the at fault driver's insurance will take responsibility. Hopefully you took some photos to have proof on hand.

Let us know how this turns out!
