    brake booster hose problem help please

    So i was doing a boost leak a feew days ago and realized the part of the brake booster hose.that connects into the accordion hose next to maf seems to not flow air in either direction and looks to be glued?


    Should the piece that goes into the acordion hose let air through one way or the other?? I think mines built up woth shit and sealed

    I can blow through but not suck through thr part of the hose that connects to fire wall. And if i block off the one to the intake manifold i can no longer blow through.

    I can suck but not blow through the one that attaches to intake manifold. But if i block the one to the firewall i can no longer suck any air through.


    Should i order a new suction pump jet and brakebooster hose?

    Looks like a check valve and it shoudlnt be cloged/ glued....

    How could thos effect how my car runs/drives

    If you replace the whole jet pump assembly with one of those valves and a hose going to the intake manifold everything will still function correctly, just plug any holes that are left should only be the one in the intake hose that connects between the y pipe and maf iirc

    Id say get the new valves and go with silicone hose and a T fitting. Ive been running mine for months with no issues.

    Thanks guys, i ordered a new one.

    But now im wondering if that check valve being glued shut would even be a problem at all. It would technically make the setup work just like the older style hose because the check valve in the suction jet pump still would operate like that yellow/ black valve if placed at the fire wall and the glue would be actimg as your plug fir the accordion hose and just not allowing the suction jet to work but just be used as a check valve.


    Does that sound about right? The car would run/ drive normal woth this valve glued shut?

    What does the suction jet do? I dnt think audi added it for no purpose

    I prefer to convert to the early style.

    You are correct.
    Plugging that check valve will make it function the same as the early style, but it does not address the vac jet pump/check valve/tee piece that likes to blow apart.

    The vac jet pump is a vac amplifier.
    It gives the booster a lil more vac to work with and might make the pedal a little easier to push for a given amount of braking.
    Not that you will get more braking, just that the pedal might be easier to push for what braking it already had.
    Similar to those sprint booster things for the gas pedal that make your car have more power It doesnt, just takes less pedal.
    There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

    Thanks alot! Thats what i thought. So i might just keep this this way for now since i jb welded the suction jet together last year and that seems to be holding up nice.

    Im annoyed cause i thought thia. uld have been part of my idle issue haha
