    eBay aero wiper blades

So about a month ago I bought new wiper blades off ebay, I knew for about 10 bucks a set, shipped from China. That the odds of fit and function were against me. But I figured I'd sacrifice my ten dollars for possibly the benefit of many. Installed great, in fact, I struggled way more installing my last set of Oem blades compared to this set. So fit, 100 percent spot on. But, they squeak. I mean to such an extent on each up and each down stroke that no amount of music can drone it out,and mind you, my windshield is brand new. But, don't count them out yet. Today I couldn't take it anymore, so I started tinkering. What I ended up doing was spinning a blade around, took the latch off the assembly and slid it on from opposite side. There was a small nub that needed shaving, as it wasn't allowing the latch to lock onto the wiper arm. Did both blades like that. And I now how a streak free, squeak free windshield. For a grand total of 10 dollars and about 5 minutes of my time. Figured someone else may benefit from this. So here it is. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-22-Left...AAAOSw0HVWBecN

    Enjoy

    Nice find!

One word of caution. Now that you have inserted the blade from the opposite direction make damn sure that the latch is very secure. If it fails in the “normal” position typically nothing is going to happen since the lateral force on the blade holds it in position.

If the latch fails from the other end the blades can slide out from the holder at what you can be assured will be during the most inopportune time.

I appreciate your words of caution old guy, but I assure you everything is secure. And yes, first you need to convert to aero wiper arms

I'm running the stock wiper arms and modified them (took less than 30 secs) in order to accept Rain X Latitude Wipers. I think these are better than the Aero wipers but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I literally only took off the plastic piece that is the "holder" for the wiper arm. I just recently bought another set of Rain X wipers and it seems that the design changed slightly. I'll have to slightly shave down a plastic nub in order to get it to fit. I can post pictures later if you'd like.

I would be interested in your mod for the newer version of the rain x blades

Also, FWIW, AutoZone now has "Aero" style blades. I threw a set on my GF's altima and they seem to be good. Not as good as the Bosche's that I have on my 3.0, but pretty good for the price point.
