    Possible to paint exhaust tips on ssac??

    Don't want to be ricey if I can't do it. But would rather have black tips. Is it possible to do this??

    The problem is paint will likely flake, chip or wear off. Have them ceramic coated. Probably $60 for the pair. Plenty of colors, including the range of blacks to choose from. Google ceramic coating in your area and I am sure you will find a shop. Likely a week turn-a-round time. Good luck.

    I agree with Cairo94507. Just get them jet hot coated. With paint your going to have to scuff the surface and do a lot of prep and eventually it may peel if the prep was not properly done. Powdercoating would also work as the cure temp for powdercoat is around 400 degrees which exhaust tips never see.

    I just want to remove the shitty tags on mine without killing the finish.

    Honestly if you want black, and don't have cats, just don't clean them. ;-)

    You can paint the tips with Ceramic header paint or Endura Industrial 2k paints. If you prep them properly they will not chip. Even if the do it is easy to touch up.
