    Replacement turbo questions

So my mechanic told me my turbo is about finished, and been looking into getting a new one. I don't have a lot of money to spend at the moment, but I found this replacement one

    http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Audi/A4_Quattro/Replacement/Turbocharger/2003/Base/4_Cyl_1-dot-8L/REPA290106.html

Would this be a good purchase for the money? I'm not that experienced w turbochargers. Open to any suggestions within a $400-600 range

You can get an OEM BorgWarner within your budget, that would be a much better route than aftermarket in terms of longevity.

    Hey I've got a replacement K03 I just sent you a PM.

Edit: Just followed your link. I would advise you to not go with an aftermarket chinese turbo. Stick to BorgWarner the OEM supplier of our K03 K04 turbos.

This would be a good time to go hybrid if you are after HP gains. FTG and Frankenturbo make the more popular K04 style choices. Otherwise, stick to a genuine Borg for $600
