Yes to both - this was marked as "VERY HAPPY" on my list of VCDS mods. :)

Not at all to preach, but when you start thinking about how valuable the Ross-Tech cable and software really are, this becomes one of the cheapest set of mods you can do. I haven't regretted the purchase for one second.

    ^^^^^^ Ditto.

And to add to that buy direct from Rosstech so they get all the money. You get free updates each time, They spent the time to develop it, they spend the time for updates etc. You all expect to get paid when you go to work- right?
If anyone has done the long coding helper you can see how much fun it is to play with. and 'it just works'

    Ok spent my $.02

My reason is for the very ones everyone else stated. I will never need or use headlamp washers, they don't do crap other than spray washer fluid all over the front end of the car. I may eventually get the cable and software, just hard to justify it for the $1000 they ask. The same version of this for GM vehicles is only $500 bucks which I have used for years, this being my first Audi I need to make sure it is something that will pay for itself in the long run.

What happens if I just unplug the wiring harness to each nozzle?

I requested this mod from Carista about a month and a half ago.
They said they would work on it, but haven't seen it either of their BETAs since.

For those of you with Carista, like myself.

As mentioned above, I'm not sure where you're seeing a $1k price tag. $349, unlimited VIN's. Even if you throw another $50 at it to get the HEX-NET ('16 and later MLB2 stuff) to ensure currency in future model years, you're still looking at a remarkably cheap mod. Again - not to preach - but don't think of this as $350 (or $400) only to disable headlight washers. I've got three pages of mods I've done, I've reset the service monitor a handful of times after doing my own maintenance, I've diagnosed and reset OBD codes, and I've helped a few friends make repairs and add mods to their cars. Overall, per dollar spent, this is the cheapest yet most potent set of mods I've bought.

Tangent...following your rabbit hole, if you don't mind. I'm curious what GM tools you're using? I've been doing performance, diagnostic, & features tuning on GM vehicles (mostly GMT 800, 900, & 2k trucks & SUV's) going back to 2002, and I'm not familiar with anything in that price range. Please share - I'd love to learn more.
