T-Mobile customers - any reason to go prepaid instead?

I was logging onto my T-Mobile account today and saw they're offering 2GB/mo. plans for tablets and such for $10/mo. I decided to order a standard sim and give it a go. Would any of the prepaid options really be that much cheaper? If I could save say $5 or more a month I'd consider the switch. Otherwise, this just seem really convenient if you're already on T-Moible.

I tacked on an unlimited data plan to my cell plan for $10 a month, but grouping it actually lowered my cell bill. So it worked out good.

It just depends on how much you use it. I hardly use any data (via the car), so I just got a pre-paid card. I think I use less than $15 a year so no sense in paying a monthly fee. YMMV.

track your usage per month in KB. Cost a prepaid and determine how long it would take to use up that data. Compare prepaid usage / month vs. the suscription.

My dedicated data line used around 200 MB last month. Primarily just the maps.
