B8 avant manual in us??

looking to replace my recently totaled b7 A4 (hit a deer) i recently had a child and was thinking about getting an avant but i want to still have the fun and pep that comes with a manual transmission. i've been doing a bit of research and can't seem to find a direct answer as to what is the last year and body style that the avant came with 3 pedals on the floor. can someone help me out with that please. did they offer the b8 avant with a manual?

I had a B7 with a 6MT and allegedly was one of only 6 brought to the US. Days of MT are numbered as well since the ZF 8 Speed gets better MPG.

that's what i was affraid of i really want to upgrade to the b8 body style but don't know if i could commit to the wagon knowing it's an auto. the sedan is nice don't get me wrong but i figure the avants has more space and thats probably what i need right about now. if it wouldn't cost me about 40k to swap it i really would consider it. and i totally agree that the days of manuals are numbered here in the states and that hurts. know a days cars like that can't be stolen by the young punks casue they have no idea what that "extra" pedal is all about
