Most commons issue on B8.5 (new owner soon)

    Hi everyone,

I'm going to trade my A6 C6 2008 for A4 Technik 2013 this week at my Audi Dealership. The new car will be on warranty for sure, but I'm wondering what are the commons pitfalls of this model. I heard they upgraded the engine and they fixed the oil consumption.

Anything to check before I buy it ?

    Thank you

notchy steering when it's cold. I had my steering rack replaced, problem not solved. Other than that it's the typical Audi bs. In the last week I've had a cracked fuel line replaced, and a day later I brought It back in to have the intake manifold replaced. Code p2015. It has 32k miles. In the 3 years I've owned the car the dealer has had it for at least 3 weeks. Glad you got that warranty.

I have a '13 Allroad. It had the notchy steering, but after the steering rack was replaced, it's been nothing but smooth sailing.

Thank you I'll pay attention to the steering wheel on my next test drive. I read that they released a software update on September 2013 to fix the notchy steering.

I bought my B8.5 with 24 000km on the clock and it had already had the steering rack replaced. The delaer since replaced the thermostat under warranty, but other than that I've had absolutly 0 issues. I'm at 77 000km now.
