Audi A4 2014 Brake rotors + pads help

    Hey guys,

2014 b8.5 A4, the brakes are squealing like hell when the weather is cold. checked the pads they need to be replaced soon so why not replace the rotors too? I've been driving on the same pads and rotors since january 2015. Audi apparently charges 1300+ for brakes and rotors.

Does anyone know any other alternatives? Independent shops in the GTA?

I was looking at Card ID's ebc stage one kit which has a really good price but I'm gonna get fucked on shipping and duties and they have really bad reviews..really bad, should i order a set online from another sit or just bring it to an independent shop

    any help is appreciated thanks

Brakes themselves are pretty easy to replace and aren't that expensive to do either if you don't need your rotors to be replaced. I suggest doing some more research and to never buy anything with a breadth of bad reviews.

Changed mine for same reason used OEM rotors all 4 and HPS hawk pads, the initial bedding is crucial to the longevity of your pads. Had the shop do the procedure for me. It's been 1,000 + miles now and almost no dust or problems noted. Dealer quoted me $1,500 for all fours but chose to have it done in an independent shop. I am capable of doing it myself but I don't have the VAGCOM to disengage the E-brake to the rears.

i got some akebono pads and centric rotors and have had them for awhile, cheap on amazon or rockauto, got them changed at an independent audi/vw shop and it's been perfect. and the aftermarket/ceramic pads have much less brake dust than the oem.
