    I'VE got a 2000 audi a4 quattro problem
I've got is strange none of my speakers work cept the driver side speaker I think the others are blown, but anyways this is what happens, when I press the brakes the one speaker that does work stops working no sound comes out, and then it stays like that no sound. Sometimes if I press the brake real hard to jerk the car the speaker sound will come back. I just don't understand why it's doing that . . .please someone give me somewhere to start. . I have no idea where to look to try and solve this problem

Sounds like you have a lousy connection somewhere. The brakes are just shaking the wires so it makes/breaks the connection. I'd guess the connection problem is in the dash (at the back of the radio) or in the door. In any case, somebody has probably been in there messing with it, and that's probably what is causing all your problems. Good Luck.

Do you have the Bose system? It could be a connection issue with the amp in your trunk. There is a long brownish grey connector that runs all the speakers, if there is a problem with this than they won't work.

Also, has this just started? Did the speakers work before?

I do not have the Bose system I have an after market radio that was already in the car when I purchased it, I heard about an amp that's suppose to be near the rear speakers but I don't see one back there I think that's why the speakers don't work back there and I believe the passenger door speaker is just blown or something.

I removed the door panel the two connectors that go into the speaker itself are in there pretty firmly... I'm trynna see where else I should look im guessing maybe I should trace those two wires and see where there might be a loose connection?

My suggestion would be to take the head unit out and see how the PO connected it. I have a similar issue with my car, the PO made a meal of the install. They Hacked the Bose amp and the stock wiring harnesses for the factory deck.

If any of the connections are loose behind the head unit that could cause your issues.

I Solved this problem by splicing the speaker wire behind the radio running it to the door and connecting it directly to the speaker in the door.
