Hey all, there is a guy around me selling an exhaust off of an S4, i swear i have read on this forum you can make it fit...

my question is if i purchase this exhaust, would an exhaust shop be able to cut off the cats and install it onto my a5 so i have quad exhaust without spending 2000$ for a system?

dont care for gains just want the looks of quad.

he wants 300$ Canadian. it has been listed for a long time so im sure i could offer him less.

then the exhaust shop would obviously charge to install it and modify it.. if i could get the whole thing done for 500-600$ i would be happy.

I am not sure if it would fit or not, but I would also consider getting a used exhaust from AWE and trying that. The S4 exhaust is very quiet. I obviously had it on mine since I have an S4, and the AWE is a world of difference. But you send you aren't looking for gains, just the looks, so if that is the case, then go with the S4 exhaust. I know when I was trying to sell mine, I would have taken $100 for it. I just wanted it gone. It ended up getting thrown away.

It should fit. I actually got a quad exhaust off an S5 from someone here for my A4 and it fit right up. You just need a Y pipe to join the two exhausts together.

Yes it can be done. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ust-Conversion Here's someone that did it on their A4. You might have to do some cutting or add extra piping. Can't remember if the S4 exhaust was too long or short for the 5 body.

My suggestion however, go buy some mufflers, and have the shop custom make a quad exhaust. It will cost more or less the same as buying the S4 exhaust and retrofitting it, and you'll actually get better sound out of it too.
