    I think I got keyed the other day, so frustrating, fairly deep scratch about 4 inches long and definitely went through the clear and the color....

    No, I wouldn't even bother with it. If you want to try something first, see if a detailer can fill it in with touch up, and then wet sand it and compound and polish it. If you want it perfect though, a respray will be your only answer.

    Scratch is on the passenger side rear door, will get a few pics after it stops raining here, which is odd saying that in CA... :o

    Sorry to hear that. People can be asshats at times. I would agree with the above, try a professional detailer who does paint correction. If that does not work, try a high-end body shop to see if they can touch it up correctly. The worst thing one can do is try to fix it themselves unless that is what they do for a living.

    Touch up paint, wet sand, polish. Only way if it actually went through clear and color.
