Steering Rack

Discovered yesterday that my steering rack is leaking badly (dumped all the fluid in about an hour of driving) so need to replace the rack.

What is the best option to pick up a remanufactured rack from? There are various ones on ebay, are there major differences between years? I have a 2006 Avant.

Is it the rack or the pipes? On my B5 I had a bad leakage but it was from the pipes.

99% sure it's the rack, if I squeeze the boot on the passenger side fluid pours out.

Thanks, I had seen them linked on a couple threads. How difficult was it to swap out? Looks more time consuming than difficult, any tips to make life easier?
