all road 2.7t swap into a 2000 s4?

Hey I just picked up a high mileage 2000 audi s4 and was thinking about swapping in another 2.7 biturbo v6, will the 2.7 from the allroad fit? I found a long block with turbos and low kms for $1000..

Before this car I was working on a big turbo 01 a4 project, currently still in my garage.. I guess I'm an addict. Lol appreciate anyone who takes the time to reply!

It will fit. I just swapped in a BEL out of a newer a6 in my 02 s4. Note that you'll need to use some of the bolt on components from the apb (like the aux water pump) as well as use your factory harness if its a BEL motor. Aside from that, the swap should be fairly straight forward

Edit: if the allroad is a tiptronic car and the s4 is a manual, you'll either need to plug the Sai holes, or buy/make block off plates

Hi Peter, The short answer is "yes".

An engine from a 2001 or 2002 is pretty much the same except you may need to block off the SAI.

If the engine is from an '03 or newer allroad it will have the updated BEL engine which has different valve covers/coils. For this, you can simply swap your valve covers and coils to the new engine- re-use your stock engine harness.

The turbo flange and downpipes will also different if it is from an 03-05' automatic.

Appreciate the replys, I'm gonna ring the guy again today and verify what yr of all road it's out of.. pretty sure it's a manual tho, my s4 is a 6spd manual

It's out of a 02 allroad automatic transmission, so I'll have to block the SAI right?Anything else I may have an issue with?
