Are you updating the guides to the JHM kit? I think you should, you'll never have to worry about it again and you'll be spending roughly the same to get it fixed.

That being said, it sucks that Raven Motorsports shut down recently, they'd have been your best bet by far. Still, I've heard good things about Euro Tech Motors (Culver City) and have personally talked to Bob at Precision Motorsports (South Bay) about all the timing chain updates he's done on these cars, and he'll probably give you the best price for labor. I haven't had the service bc I drive an rs4 now but I'd wager you'll spend ~1k on parts and another 2.5-3k on labor for the engine pull.

    Seblove,
Thank you very much for your input.
As for the JHM products, yes I'm going down that route, just need a reliable and cost effective shop.

Take the savings you would incur by not going to a dealer, and use that to have the car transported to JHM and done absolutely right. Thats for sure what I would do....if I hadnt sold my car Couldnt see that being more than a few hundred bucks. Go to one of those websites they bid on your job.

Its only about 4.5 hours from LA

Drive time from LA to where JHM is approximately 6 hrs with out getting a ticket. Once up there, the question is how to get back with out asking for someone to follow me up and back.....an all day task. Thus looking for a local reputable shop in LA is best. Thanks for the reply

I second Bob at Precision motors. He's in Redondo Beach but well worth the short trip.
