    new coil spring paint scratching off

    hi everyone,
    i bought a new coil spring and there is an area the paint get scratched off. is it ok to use or it is not OK?

    These are new you say? Were they packaged incorrectly perhaps?
    It wont affect performance (looks cosmetic), but its up to you. You paid for a new one, it should at least look new.
    What did the seller say?

    i have not contact the seller yet. I want to ask question here before I look like an idiot. if i install the spring, it should be ok in a long run?

    If you are concerned with the exposed metal spray it with Krylon Rust Tough




    Or wrap it with some self sealing Silicone tape
