2010 A4 Trouble shifting at low RPM

    Long time lurker...

Have a 2010 A4 pre plus. Have noticed recently that the car has trouble downshifting when around 2000-2500 RPMs. It will hang for a 1-2 seconds then shift. I have flipped the shifter into manual and usually see it M3-M4 and M4-M5.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

Drivetrain inserts will help substantially. Other than that I'm not sure.

The transmission computer, which determines when the downshifts occur, couldn't care less if you have drive-train mount inserts.....

From what I read it sounded like the transmission was hesitating when shifting. Doesn't sound like it's not shifting at all. Sounds like he has a delay.

Correct... the transmission will hesitate for a second or two, then shift.

Is this a recent change or has it always kinda been a little slow? If the latter, the inserts will take away some hesitation and slop in the transmission. I know you said you noticed it recently, but could it have always been there and you just now noticed it?

It may have been there for a while. If so, it has gotten dramatically worse over the last few weeks.
