Any way to get the steering wheel scroll to change audio track?

In my b7, the setup was almost identical except the scroll changed the audio track. no dice in the SQ... anyone able to hack this together? I'm willing to go the distance on this, lol.

Anyone know if this works in any other B8.5's? A5/S5/RS5

Both of my SQ5's scroll through audio tracks with the left scroll wheel. I didn't have to do anything. In fact, scrolling it at any time changes the DIS to the audio tracks. Pressing it selects the track you're on. Either yours is jacked up, or I'm misunderstanding your question.

if you can change BT tracks from the button by the shifter... i don't get why you can't change tracks on the steering wheel. hoping mine is jacked up, but this was the case in 2-3 that i test drove before buying. so I'm thinking its probably a restriction on bluetooth audio



did some searching around... looks like its not possible for BT audio. wow that is a colossal fuck up by audi... time to jimmy rig something to work lol.

I'll try mine when I get in the car. It may only work on playlists with Bluetooth.

Confirmed doesn't work for playlists either over BT. Used Spotify playlist if that matters.

My solution was to copy my music to an SD card. Albums are separate folders, then I made a playlist folder replicating my phones playlist I always play. Then you select random or not. I feel the random audi mmi is better random than apples choices. It loads far faster, you can scroll and select with the wheel, and if you have album art it shows up as well if you like.

When I tried to copy this sd card music to the MMI it resorted it and some album art went away. I like the album browser function of the mmi, but most of the time I play my playlist and select from that.

I totally agree with this. I'd rather rest my elbow on the center arm rest and use the MMI's center console volume/track/play/pause knob.
