    2010-2012 a4 questions

Hey everyone I'm new here. I'm in the market for buying myself a used Audi but I have a few questions about the 2010-2012 a4's.
The first being, how reliable are these cars as they rack on mileage? I've owned a bmw before, even with constantly maintenance, there were countless engine lights, and problems on my wallet.
Next is about the lighting on the cars. I'm a bit confused because I keep seeing them with different lighting. Some of the dotty LED lights, and some have the more straight lined lights that go around the perimeter? more like the newer models. I like the dotty LED headlights, but I absolutely hate the dotty tail lights. Is the 2012 model the one with the solid lined head and tail lights? Or is it a package thing. Thanks!

The "dotty" LED day time running lights are considered "pre-face lift", I believe 2013+ is the face lift.

    First read this thread:

The 09-12 have the dotty LEDs that you like, however they also have the dotty taillights. There are a couple aftermarket tailight options if you want to swap out the dotty tails. This generation is known as the B8. The 2013+ years are B8.5

The facelift is MY 2013 and newer. The 'dotty' LED DRL is 2012 and older.

A ton of information is available in the Buyer's Guide that I put together which Shimmy linked to. Not every B8 has LED tail lights, so if you prefer those LED headlights and dislike the tail lights you should still be able to find a prefacelift car with the lighting you prefer.
