Kia badge made to look like Lexus?

Hi everyone,

I have seen over the last couple months a couple cars where they have manipulated their badge to look like a Lexus. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. I can't figure out why anyone would want to do this. Maybe they aren't intentionally trying to look like the Lexus badge and it's something else entirely? I'm just curious.

Here is one I caught recently. I think the car in the picture below is a Kia Forte. The other car I saw a month ago looked like an Kia Optima, I didn't get a picture but the badge looked the same as the car below.

Apparently Kia/Hyundai replicates designs from Honda, MB, and even Audi.

It's too bad people aren't secure enough in themselves to just own what they own and take pride in it. The idea that someone is so desperate to impress that they have to be deceptive like this is just sad. Not only that, but I have more respect for someone who buys a Kia they can afford than the person who buys a Lexus they can't afford just because they are trying to impress the other parents in the school pick up line.
