Buying an Extended Warranty for 2011 Audi S5 4.2L V8

I bought my Audi on 9/20 this year. I didn't initially buy the extended warranty but debating on adding it now(They said I have 90 Days) ; I talked to them on phone today and they said its about $4k for bumper to bumper $100 Deductible 3 years / 36k miles and of course I have to pay upfront....Seems like a lot to me. You guys think it's worth it? My car had about 68k on it. I get scared with me not knowing much about Audis (My first one) and everything being so expensive down the line, electronics are stupid expensive to replace on this car. Also any one of you guys have experience with any other external warranties? Sorry for the newb question.

Read the details of WHAT is actually covered. With mine, there is a lot that isn't. They won't budge if it isn't listed. I paid about $3k for mine, and I have got my money out of it, but I have also spent a fair amount on things not covered as well. Steering pump was, AC almost completely was, motor mounts were not, amplifier won't be, O2 sensors weren't, oil separator/pcv valve wasn't. Just look it over closely. They'll also get you on things like hoses associated with the ac lines not being covered, they're sneaky like that.

I am so anti-extended warranty, it's ridiculous. I get pissed everytime some one tries to sell me one. I think it's the biggest scam.

Nevertheless, when I started looking at Audi, other owners said the extended service was the best investment they ever made. Three years later, I have to agree.

I went with Advantage Warrant Corp (protectiveassetprotection.com) On 1/2013 I paid $4390.00 for 60 months or 60k miles on a 2009 S5 with 30k on it. I got Advantage Preferred with the Electronics Package. My deductible is $50. That should be everything you need to get a reasonable price.

I would highly recommend Advantage. They have covered probably $10k in repairs and haven't argued one bit. As a matter of fact, my Audi dealer (who I didn't buy the car from) said that these guys were the easiest they have ever dealt with. Everything that they cover is spelled out, and honestly, there isn't much that they don't cover.

For what it's worth, my amp went and these guys covered it. My mmi controls went, they covered it. My Bluetooth mic was acting up, covered. Electronics Package FTW.

That's a deal compared to the quote I got. I just bought a 12 A6 3.0t with 50K on it. I was given a quote of $7k for 3 years and up to 100k miles with $100 deductible. I about fell out of the chair.
