I mean should there not be some sort of play with the factory mount vs no play with an aftermarket mount - the vibration must be present for a reason, no?
Do we have long term tests/reports on these mounts?
Inquiring minds would like to know - :)
I have no experience with the audis but I have had plenty with Subaru, Honda accord's, and Honda civic's. if its anything like those, it will put more vibrations into the cabin of the car. it will be much more harsher. with no experience with the audi S3 cars, I don't know how much harsher it will be as that would be my question too. each car is different and each part is different, they all will do different things at different attachment points. on some of my past cars I changed out all of them and some just a couple.
for sure this will make the car feel less of a soft/comfort car and allow you to feel more of what the engine is doing. as someone above said, yes there should be some play so keep the vibrations down but some owners want that feel back. how much this does bring to the cabin, only the ones with it on will be able to tell us.
from the picture, it looks like it is reducing forward and back engine movement, which means it will not be so harsh, but I could be wrong.
