Windshield wiper rests too high on passenger side

I noticed that the passenger side windshield wiper rests a bit too high. When the rain sensing wipers are on and in the down position, I can actually see the passenger side wiper going about an inch up the windshield. When the wipers are completely off it's slower but I can tell it rests about an inch higher than the driver side. I can manually push it down to where it should be.

Is this something WD40 or a wrench can fix?

Post pics. If the one wiper is going up to far as well, you would probably need to remove the wiper to align it properly.

Yes... you can pop the arm off and make the adjustment. I had to do that on one of the new windshield installs I had done on my allroad. Actually..... made the glass shop do it.

Here's how it looks when they're off:

    When they're on:

So is it as simple as loosening this bolt, rotating the wiper down a bit and tightening it again?

No, you'll have to remove it completely as there are grooved teeth holding it in place.

And be carefull when you do this....the spring in the arm is stronger than you think....you can crack the windshield if things go wrong....don't ask me how I know....new blade = $16, new windshield = $600.......

So remove it, and then rotate counter-clockwise by one tooth and put it back in, then tighten?

I got my windshield replaced a couple of months ago, it might have been like that since but I can't be sure since I think I would have noticed it before.

What spring are we talking about? If I loosen that bolt is something going to fly out at me?
