Front plates in Mass

Any Massholes on here not running a front plate? Once I install my RS4 grille I'm thinking of going with no plate, but wanted to see what other experiences were.

I ran a no-plate on my RS4 for 5 years, then received 3 tickets in one month all in my home-town. I reverted to a go-mini-go tow hook plate holder, it's the best option for me at this time.

I just recently did the rs4 grille too and have been plate less for 2 months now. My old wrx was plate less for 2 years no stops whatsoever

I have been front plate-less since 2005
Mini Cooper JCW (0 stops)
Subaru WRX with VERY loud Exhaust (0 stops)
Current Ride (0 stops) Although some inspection station refused to inspect me with my zip tied front plate, so i just drove down the street

Have not had a front plate on my 05 Mustang since... 05! missing on my 93 Mustang since '11... never any interaction from the locals or staties...but have been stopped for other issues (dam stuck gas pedal!)

I live in NYC, but my wife is from North Reading MA. I frequently visit the family in my RS5 and I have no front plate. I've been pulled over almost 1 time every visit. The latest was in the town of Andover from a town cop. I use the old "from out of town, bracket was broken and I'm waiting for a new one to be delivered." It's worked more times than it hasn't.

No front plate since June. It's on my passenger floor so if they ever ask I'll just say the bracket broke.

Havent rocked a front plate in the 2 years I've had my S4. No complaints and never an issue. If you are being stupid and get pulled over I'm sure the cop will tack on the no front plate. But, you'll be fine

I had no font plate and only a bumper bar for 4 months when my bumper was getting fixed and left if off when I finished it. It's been a total of 9 months and no problems.

No front plate since this summer and no issues in MA, RI, and NH so far.

In MA I heard that your more likely to get a no front plate ticket by a meter maid in the city vs getting pulled over because of not having one.

Well that didn't last long. I had a nice conversation with a Berlin officer on my way to work today. I originally caught his attention with my speed (48 in a 35), but he was very interested in my lack of front plate. At the end of it he let me off with a warning, I'm pleased. Whenever I drive my car I have Waze on, which he wasn't marked on, and I have a V1, but it has K band disabled due to blind side monitoring. He didn't show up on either. There's nothing more I could have done to proactively see him.

Needless to say, I ordered a US Millworks front plate mount when I got to work.

I run with the plate on my dashboard and one of the ltc black and blue plates on the front of the car the only time I got a ticket for not displaying a front plate is when a statey got me doing 95 on the pike and as a nice jesture he let me off with the plate ticket lol. Havent had a front plate on the front in about 4 years outside when time for a new inspection sticker.
