    Door Locking Issue

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Has anyone had this issue... Lock the car, all but one door locks. Also when I lock it with the key, all but that door locks. And the car and itself. But I can go over and open that door up and the alarm doesn't go off. Also when the door is open, the lights don't come on. Any ideas what it could be?

    I have a 2002 a4 quattro

The door latch switch is faulty. The faulty switch is incorrectly telling the CCM that the door is open or is already locked.

    Where is the switch

    Where exactly in the door?

is it simply part of the latch assembly?
