    2001 audi a4 1.8t wont start

hello everyone, trying to fix my 2001 audi a4 quattro 1.8t manual . so i was driving it for a couple hours then went to the store, then when i left the store in my car i was stopped at a intersection and my car shut off i couldn't get it to turn back over.
i got it towed to my house and started with the battery and got it tested and it was perfect, then i got an alternator. to see if that was it and it wasn't. i cleaned the terminals and all and still didn't want to start. so i replaced my spark plugs and ignition coils and had sparks but still didn't start. so i made sure my fuel pump was working and it was so i just replaced it just to make sure. got a new fuel pump relay and still nothing. even put a new fuel filter in and still car doesn't want to start. i can turn the key and here it clicking and here my engine trying to turn over but engine doesn't want to start up. What could be the problem with my car i need to solve this quick before i have to go back to work. please help

When was the last timing belt job on this car? Slide the black plastic upper timing belt cover back right at the front of the engine (held on with two clips). Is the belt still there?
Just need to rule out worst case scenario.

OMG, it's like a parts tornado hit this car (and your wallet). How about we find out what the actual problem is, then just fix that thing? Seems like a better way. lol

    - So you have strong blue spark on all 4 cylinders. Good.
    - Codes?
    - Compression?

Can you provide a quick video of you attempting to start the car? That might help us, help you, help yourself. Yeah.

probably a good idea to scan for fault codes first, might point you in the direction of a failed sensor.

Its either fuel, spark or compression.

Sounds like you've got spark and fuel, so have you tested each cylinders compression? timing could be off or a sensor could be dead preventing start, vcds scan is your best help :)

When you turn the key to the on position, does the cell light up? Ecu's are like $80 on ebay.

You would get a code if the ecu was bad, no? Do you have fuel?

What are the compression numbers for each cylinder? What is the fuel pressure with the ignition on? Have you pulled each plug with the coil and tested for spark? If you are just answering yes to these questions without actually checking you are better off taking it to a mechanic.

As Avant Nate said, check this. I had the same problem as yours and it was my ecu.
