Can Gasket Maker Hold Boost?

My forge splitter valve is leaking boost from the top seal. (Push the piston up and cover vacuum hole and piston falls). The original gasket has failed. Can I use gasket maker on this, and will it hold boost properly?

I have no idea what your gasket looks like, but I would imagine there is a product out there that can fix it.

, u posted before? Send it back and get another one. If that doesn't work buy a rebuild kit. Don't bandaid it.

Sometimes that bandaid can work better than the original and actually be an improvement.

I use gasket maker around my meth nozzle and it holds up to boost leak tests at 40psi. I'd assume that would be far more likely to blow off than your would be. My favorite is Black Permatex that dries in 15 minutes. It isn't usable for an hour or more though. I currently have orange Permatex that's like most others out there. I don't like it. It doesn't bind as well and takes ages to dry. I've also used rtv for my compressor housing seal and it worked. You could always just peel it off of it doesn't work.
