02 b6 a4 1.8t amb engine, Overheated on the highway one day, got the car home...replaced the water pump(not knowing that it was already the aftermarket metal impeller...big waste of time) and then the thermostat. This fixed my overheating problem. But i also realized that the fans arent coming on with the a/c, or even when the car is at operating temp. They only kick on when the engine starts to overheat at idle, and then they cool it back down.
The fans are obviously getting power...so could this be my fcm?
