Bit of a long shot but anybody able to help with parts interchangability advice.

My PFL A4 1.9TDI (AFN) auto (01N) needs a new flex plate, pretty sure part number is 048105323B, based on part no 20 on http://www.partsbase.org/audi/audi-a...aud-048105323b.

Having real problems finding a the exact part number in a dismantlers (sorry to say but the car really isn't worth the cost of a new part).

Anyone know if there is a later part which would fit?

(Ducks head and waits for flames smile emoticon )

NOTE: I am not a 'parts guy'. I pretend to know how to use this: www.partscats.info. Below is just some uninformed ramblings from a guy who thinks he knows everything.

Your part number is correct for a 1998 A4 "AFN" engine with auto trans. 048105323B fits automatic transmission models
    - with these 1.8/1.9 petrol or diesel engines : ADR,AFY,AHU,AHH,AFN
    - with this 1.6 petrol engine: AHL

It is also listed for the 2000 (Facelift) automatic models with
    - these 1.9 diesel engines: AHU,AFN,AVG
    - these 1.8 petrol engines: ADR,APT,ARG,AVV,AFY
    - these 1.6 petrol engines: AHL,ARM,ANA,ALZ

Thanks for the info about different engines using it, I had been searching on ebay UK and US but not many automatic Audi's of that age that aren't turbos or the 2.8 engine...and most of the 4 cyl engines have manual boxes....aaarrrgghhh!

    Cheers
