Does ANYONE know how to enable night vision to at ANY time?? 2013 Audi s7

As soon as my headlights turn off, night vision/thermal disables.

How can I program the car to let night vision work any time I hit the button.

There would be no good reason for this to be allowed anywhere in the world so I'm guessing you can't.

I'm guessing that's a hardware/wiring issue vs a software one. But that's a guess. That's a can of liability I doubt any car manufacturer wants.

My night vision works anytime. 2013 S6 I have daytime running lights on.. the little eyelash across the bottom, not the headlghts. Im not sure that is why mine works, but try turning that on and maybe it will work.

Far as I can tell, the "night vision" display on the dash board was meant as a gee whiz feature. No one, ever, intended for people to be driving around without lights staring through their steering wheel at the dashboard.

The only daylight situation it might make sense for is a heavy fog day, but I've tried it in that scenario and the IR doesn't seem to be able to penetrate the fog.

I'm not the hero gotham wants, I am the hero gotham needs....
But seriously,
I understand that, but there are times when its not night time, dusk, a dark tunnel, or trying to see something in front of you where it would be beneficial to be able to enable it when your car is in any mode without having your headlights blaring. I know there's all these haters on here about having night vision and didn't get it with your cars so you didn't feel it was worth it. To each his own. It is not a gee wiz feature it actually has helped me see animals and people at night and I would like to be able to enable it any time. Not to be able to drive around with my headlights off at night with night vision.. lol. The eye lashes are still lit, a little counter stealth there hahaaa.

Not to mention when car is in auto mode, when the headlight shut off temporarily if I am in a well lit area, I have to manually enable the night vision again.

I use NV all day when traveling to the mountains, first of, I can see any lurking cops hiding in the bushes.
secondly I can see any moose walking close to the roadside.
lights on auto.

If I turn the lights off, they shut off automatically. They only stay on on auto mode. Maybe it is a wiring thing. Maybe a wire can be switched or added to the other mode.

Probably. I can't see any reason to turn the lights off unless during service. You can adjust DRLs if you really don't like them and just keep them on auto.

Any updates on a wiring work-around to have the Night Vision operate without any lights having to be ON?

I like to use it without my lights cause I do PI work and would like to see if someone is hiding in the woods
