Audi a6 2.7t crank no start

01 audi a6 2.7t apb. This car has had a lot of work. New cylinder heads from audi, water pump, plugs, timing belt, crankshaft sensor, aux water pump, engine temperature sensor. Right now it just cranks no start. Can hear then engine pop every once an awhile when cranking. I have fuel going to the fuel rail. Have spark. Compression 120-130. Timing was set with the special tools to hold crank and cams in place. Cam chains are 16 chain joints between each sprocket. Only code I have from vag com is p1602.
Any suggestions please.
