    2005.5 S4 - Salt Lake City, UT - Brilliant Black - $12,500 - TIMING SERVICE COMPLETE

Guys, I'm looking into getting a B8 S4, so I need to get rid of mine. Trade in prices on our cars are just a joke right now (and they don't take timing jobs into account, etc.), so I'd ideally like to sell it to a fellow AZiner.

I bought this car about 2.5 years ago. Before I bought it, my dealer/shop performed the timing service - it has been running great ever since I bought it. I've only had a few small problems, which I've taken care of (Secondary air leak, fuel pump/filter replaced, intake flapper, replaced speakers behind cluster, brake light switch).

-The car is sitting just over 99,000 miles. [This will change, as this is my DD.] I've put about 21,000 miles since I purchased.
-Brilliant Black Exterior [Very good condition, some small rock chips at the front of the hood, a rock chip in the windshield, which has been filled and hasn't formed any cracks in the last 2 years]
-Black Leather Interior [Could use the glove box mod, the light has been hesitating to turn on when i open it up. Otherwise flawless.]
    -Carbon Fiber Trim
    -Updated Symphony 2+ with Aux-in
-18" Avus wheels painted in gunmetal grey. Fairly new (less than one year) Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric All-Season Tires.
-Front end lowered ~3/4" with B5 Spring perches.
    -JHM 91 Tune
    -Pre-cats gutted (piggies)
-New battery about 6 months ago
-Window Tints [Between 25-30% on all but windshield and sunroof]
-New front wheel bearings and hubs
-Wheel spacers [ECS Flush kit - 10mm front, 17mm rear]
-Transmission flushed, filter replaced within last 6 months [Redline D4, filled to spec using vag com to monitor temps]
-Valve cover gaskets replaced about a year ago
-Both front axles replaced (torn boots, started clunking) at the same time as VC gaskets.
    -034 Snub mount

I've changed the oil regularly between 4,000 and 5,000 miles. I always use full synth, usually mobil1 0W-40. As I stated above, the timing service was completed by a reputable euro shop (with Audi trained techs) before I purchased (I can even include a pic of the car with the motor pulled). I don't see any evidence of oil consumption or burning. I've never had to top-up between oil changes. There is however a small leak coming from either the valley pan gasket, or the filter housing. It's not very bad, so I just haven't taken the time to correct it. Other than that, mechanically this car is great. I wouldn't hesitate driving it anywhere. I often do 300 mile drives about once or twice a month to a cabin in Idaho, the car eats the miles like no ones business. Highway mileage sits around 22-23 @ 80mph, I don't regularly drive city only, but I'd guess around 12. Most of the time, my mixed use gives me 17-18 MPG.

Clearly, I've tried to keep this car in really great shape. With the timing done, and most of the other repairs I've taken care of, this car should last someone for a long time. I'm happy to work with anyone to have the car inspected before purchase, and I can send you most of the relevant service docs (however, the routine maintenance I haven't tracked extremely well as I DIY most/all of it). Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

I'm open to offers. I'm looking to get into a B8 sooner, rather than later. But this car certainly commands better than low-balls and I'm not in a huge rush to sell, so don't waste my time.

Here are a few images I have on-hand. I'll have the car detailed and get some better pics up ASAP. The next batch of pictures will be better.

They are in chronological order and all are pre drop/spacers.

    Thanks.

Unfortunate timing though. It would have been selling earlier. But I've been waiting on an insurance payment on an a4 avant I'm also selling to put towards the new s4.

Sorry for no new pics. Been out of the country, and SLC has been super gross. I'll try to get the car cleaned up properly this week.

Just bought this car 2 weeks ago for 5k, with chains done (pictures to prove it) 150,000 miles. Everything is tip top except for a few small items, glove box hinge, arm rest latch, otherwise an excellent specimen. IMAG1507.jpeg

The poor seller only got 5 grand for this???? What a slap In the face. Most shops won't even touch it for timing service for that much...

He had it listed at 10,500. I showed interest but when he was FIRM on price I said 'no thanks'. 2-3 days later he said $5k today and it's yours, and here we are! I was so pumped I couldn't contain myself, I thought he said that number by mistake! I flew to his house so fast worried he would back out, but he was good on his word. He did the chains himself, maybe he was scared of something and got rid of it? He was very knowledgeable on the chains, had all the proper tools and showed extensive pics along the way. He did a stand up job, so Im not afraid. The car is in excellent condition, minus a few interior issues like the glove box hinge and arm rest latch. I'd say he did a better job than most audi techs would do. Not a spare bolt, nut, or washer, he kept all factory hardware, and it looks perfect. And he made sure to reiterate multiple times that everything is torqued to spec as well. It was a stellar purchase!

Damn! Well good snag then. I've personally dumped 8k into mine. After a 13k purchase price in 2015

I'm a huge fan of the b7 and b6. Classy, but not too classy. Not afraid to get it dirty or rained on and it flies under the radar of 'real' sports luxury cars. To newer audi owners, I'm just another Hyundai elantra, (with a v8) and that's ok by me.
