S4 V8 B6 softer front suspension to counter the solid engine mounts?

    Hi from New Zealand

I have a B4 S4 cab which I fitted with solid engine mounts which makes it a little juddery, although the ride overall is much firmer and much better, its totally transformed the car.
Now the front shocks need changing anyway so I was wondering if I could counter the judder a bit with some better shocks. My mechanic wants to fit Boge, but not read any good reviews. Then again a lot of people seem to like juddery cars with suspension thats too hard :)

The time I notice it most is powering round dirt road corners with judder-bumps (or bumpy tarmac corners) - car seems to leave the ground a lot and doesnt feel as planted as it used to, especially on dirt.

    Cheers, S

A softer suspension will do nothing to counteract the increased NVH from solid engine mounts.

Ahh OK, thanks. Shame it cant be fixed but no way Im taking those mounts out, overall it's so much better most of the time.
(NVH = Noise Vibration Harshness for anyone else reading - I had to look it up)

Can anyone recommend the best option for more or less the stock ride characteristics but better performance - (ie without making the ride any firmer, and without lowering it). With that big heavy V8 lump out the front, I imagine a front sus upgrade could make a lot of difference.
