How does one go about obtaining the service manual for their car? Not the owners' manual, but the one that tells you how to change a water pump or the torque specs on the head

Has anyone checked out this site? They claim they are legal, true OEM manuals. Price seems reasonable. Could not find anyone else on the forum mention this site.

In the Internet era, data protection is a particularly large challenge.
We use ultra-modern encoding technology, known as the "Secure socket layer (SSL)" procedure for the transmission of your personal data when you made a payment. If we save data in our website for you (with your agreement obviously!), you are the only person who can access the data. We work with the utmost care to ensure that the data which you trust us with is protected from unauthorised access.

All your personal information received will only be used to fill your order. After 30 days from the moment of your purchase, we delete all your personal data from our website.

But, there is a catch. In order to protect the manufacturer copyrights, we insert customer personal data in the file, the factory repair manual, that customers receive after payment. In case that customer broke the copyrights law, all these personal data from the file can be readable. We use our own method to do that. And can be used against the customers by manufacturers in a court.

So, keep the file for yourself and your personal information will be safe.

I used factory manuals and it was legit. It was a sketchy transaction at first, but they delivered. Huge manual, thousands of pages, but it is indexed so you don't have to scroll much to find the section you want.

I went ahead and purchased from Factory Manuals. Seems to be legit. I got back a 9000+ page fully indexed and searchable PDF what looks like authentic Audi manuals. It is actually a combination of several manuals all combined together into one big PDF. From what they told me, they take my VIN and send it to Audi and Audi produces a matched PDF. At the beginning of the PDF is all the info about the car based on the VIN, including the purchase date and a 150+ listing of the Pr Numbers that exactly match the configuration of the car. I'm not sure anyone but Audi would have this information as it is somewhat unique to each vehicle. I'm please with the purchase.

Also ordered the manuals and they were available the next day for download. 8400+ pages of everything you want to know about your car... Want hundreds of pages of current flow diagrams, you got it!

Very happy with the transaction... saved the file to CD, cloud, and hard drive, but would like to print them out and get some large ring binders.... Ok, I'm old school!
