    Oil Feed/Return Line

Getting a crazy leak from a deteriorated oil return line from the turbo to the oil pan.

Getting a quote for $490CAD. For a oil line from the audi dealership, labour, & obviously oil change.
    worth it?

also, what could this have effected other than just it blowing?

Since the leak is after the turbo, it is unlikely to have had a negative affect up line. If you can find the part number for the line, there are likely cheaper alternatives for replacement than the dealership.

I think I have a return line sitting around. It's yours if you pay for shipping.

Brand new ones from ECS go for about $160.

Might be silly and you said the line is deteriorating, but are you 100% sure its not just a failed gasket where the line attaches to the turbo? I've had to replace several of these before, super common on the new twin turbo 335I's. Never had to replace the one on the B5, but with how much those lines cost O.O, I figured I would speak up even if I'm wrong.

I have had that line fail on me. Small micro crack developed at the base. Honestly the labor for this will be the killer. You can do the job yourself, its not hard. Just can be a pain to get to.
