Automatics - get into sport mode without pressing button

So I just got an 08 s-line automatic and I really love it (its a lot nicer compared to my 05 Jeep wrangler).

The thing that I am looking to change is the fact that you have to press the button on the side of the knob to get from drive into sport mode (whereas when going from Sport to Drive you don't have to).

I know it might not sound like a problem at all but I would love to just flip it down into sport mode and right back up into drive without pressing that damn button.

Anyone have any thoughts or info about this?

You may have to do a lot of work just to get that function unfourtanetly. I'm not well versed with our trannys but it would appear to be much more difficult than its worth unfortunately.
