Watched the video. Man I'm not sure. If it's coming from inside the crankcase could be detrimental... Quick way to see could just be to pull the valve covers off and take a gander

Just to let you know these 2.0T engines are noisier then the 1.8T's. Its does sound rather loud from the phone recorded video. I suggest you check out another B7 A4 with the 2.0T and listen to how that sounds. With a used car and if he has no service records. Its advisable to check the hpfp cam follower as its one of the weak point of this motor. Doesnt hurt to remove the valve cover also and take a

Yeah, thanks guys i did think the tfsi engines were a bit noisier then the ambs. If the cam follower were bad would it throw a code? Hes not sure when the last oil change was so im gonna take it to get one done tomorrow and see if that quiets it down, if not ill pull the valve cover and take a look.

The reason they are noisier is because of the injectors ( the way the fsi engine is designed). Clanking or squeaking noises may mean something mechanical. Either severe wear or bad bearings.

Almost sounds like chain dragging near the exhaust cam chain area... Cam chain tensioner maybe?

Cam follower is relatively easy to check (although that is on the intake side)... not sure if there's an easy way to view the cam chain area on a 2.0T or not, haven't gone digging in that part of my engine yet.

what side is the cam follower? the sound definitely sounds like its coming from the left middle of the engine (while facing the front of the car).

When facing the front of the car the cam follower is on the right side near the back. Cam chain is all the way at the back too.

Middle left... sticky lifter maybe if it sounds like the party's happening under the valve cover? The turbo is also on the left middle side of the engine bay. Might stick your mic down there to see if that's the source of the rattling noise.

it does sound like its coming from underneath the valve cover, middle left under the valve cover. i was thinking lifter aswell, skip to :11 in the video and i point to exactly where im hearing the noise from.
