Exclamation JHM Auto Tensioner Install Question

Need Installation Help, hopefully quickly... I posted this in the JHM thread as well but maybe its own thread will get more attention..

So this kit comes with a washer. The instructions (.zip) say "05_Install_JHM_Tensioner_Assy_w_Bolt_AND_Wash er-THEN_Torque_to_30ftlbs".

Where does this washer go? The following two pictures are from the .zip instructions... neither of them show the washer installed. Does it go where I indicated on the picture or does it go between the tensioner and the bracket??

Or does it go here, between the bracket and the tensioner?

I installed it where you highlighted in the first set of photos, but now you have me wondering if that was right. I would be very surprised if it was intended to go in-between though. I have about 100 miles on the installation, but you should email JHM, they are very good about following up on these things...do post back ^_^

I see a washer installed in the first 2 pics, right where the arrow is pointing. Is that not the same washer you're asking about?

No, that is not a washer, although it does look like one. That is all an integral part of the tensioner. If you look closely the raised portion immediately underneath the bolt head is connected as the wider portion. This is what it looks like with the washer in that position (blue arrow is the actual washer, red arrow is that raised part of the tensioner):

I'm inclined to think it goes where placed in this picture because that is where a "washer" should go, by the definition. Either there on next to a nut, which isn't present here. If it goes between the bracket and tensioner they should just call it a spacer....

It wouldn't make sense to put a washer on where the bolt goes, all that does is back up the thread on the bolt. Unless its there to reinforce the bolt to the tensioner.
